Report: Spurs Already Being Linked To Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant

The NBA offseason hasn’t started yet, but the San Antonio Spurs are already being linked to Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant

NBA insider Jake Fischer says the Spurs would have interest in trading for Antetokounmpo or Durant this summer.

The Milwaukee Bucks are down 3-1 to the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs. Some around the league believe Antetokounmpo could request a trade this offseason.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns and Durant are expected to work together on a trade this summer.

Antetokounmpo has spent his entire career with the Bucks, while Durant has played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets and Suns.

Milwaukee won the 2021 championship against Phoenix. Antetokounmpo won the Finals MVP Award. He’s a two-time MVP and a one-time Defensive Player of the Year.

Durant is a two-time champion, a two-time Finals MVP, a one-time MVP and a four-time scoring champion. He won his two rings with the Warriors in 2017 and 2018.

The Spurs have Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox, two of the top young talents in the NBA. If San Antonio can get Antetokounmpo or Durant this summer, the team becomes an instant title contender next season.

Antetokounmpo averaged 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists for the Bucks this season, while Durant averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists for the Suns.

A nine-time All-Star, Antetokounmpo will make $54,126,380 next season. He doesn’t have a no-trade clause in his contract.

A 15-time All-Star, Durant will make $54,708,609 next season in the final year of his contract. He doesn’t have a no-trade clause either.
