Reggie Miller Picks Michael Jordan As His GOAT But Says LeBron James Has Had ‘The Greatest Career’

Indiana Pacers legend Reggie Miller said on the “All the Smoke” podcast that Chicago Bulls icon Michael Jordan is his GOAT.

Miller also went on to say that Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James has had “the greatest career.”

“Man, the tale gets told all the time,” Miller said. “Who’s the GOAT, who’s the greatest, between him and LeBron. I try to stay away from that. I played against LeBron in his rookie year, which was my last year. So I don’t really have a point of reference. But I will say this: LeBron has the greatest career. I say that all the time. But Michael Jordan is the best basketball player ever. So yeah, LeBron has the greatest career, but Mike is the best player.

“A lot of old heads want to dog LeBron because they were never this good this late in their careers. He’s in year 22, 40 years old, putting up 25, 8 and 8, first or second team All-NBA. Some of these guys weren’t even that good in their prime. Straight up.”

Jordan and James are universally recognized as the two best basketball players in NBA history. They have combined to win five MVPs, 10 championships and 10 Finals MVPs.

Jordan won five MVPs, six championships, six Finals MVPs, one Defensive Player of the Year Award, three steals titles and 10 scoring titles with the Bulls. He is first in NBA history in points per game in the regular season and playoffs.

The Bulls went 6-0 in the NBA Finals during the Jordan era.

James has played for the Cleveland Cavaliers (twice), Miami Heat and Lakers. He’s a four-time MVP, a four-time champion and a four-time Finals MVP.

James is the leading scorer in NBA history. He’s the only player to rank top five all-time in points and assists, the only player to win three Finals MVPs with three different teams, the only player with 40,000 points, 10,000 rebounds and 10,000 assists and the only player to score 50,000 points combining the regular season and postseason.

Jordan averaged 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 2.3 steals and 0.8 blocks with the Bulls and Washington Wizards.

Meanwhile, James has career averages of 27.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.7 blocks.
